My Worlds

If you’re here, it means you don’t just read my stories, you feel them.

I tend to experiment with different tropes and settings. The worlds I create are not created to be safe. They are built with tension, restraint, and longing, the chaos and the calm before the storm.

Favorite genre to write?

Dark Romance / Dark Fantasy.

I’m fascinated by what people hide, what they deny, and what they become when love threatens everything they’ve sworn to protect. In here is where crowns crack. Monsters are not redeemed, they are chosen, and love is not a reward, but a risk.

What inspires my worlds?

To test.

  • Power and vulnerability existing in the same body.
  • Silence that screams louder than confession.
  • The space between want and permission.

What shapes my worlds?

  • Dark fairy that never promise happy endings.
  • Gothic imagery, shadows, candlelight, and restraint.
  • Love is dangerous. not comforting.

What pulls my visions into words?

For me, some worlds I build are to test devotion. Things I am not allowed to do, I want to do. When I feel trapped in my brain from time to time, I create conflicts and see how my characters can escape them. If not worse.

The pull of what should not be touched, and the ache of wanting anyway.

  • Yearning.
  • Aching for that touch, or even a look across the room.
  • War begins when the love interest was even looked at the wrong way.
  • Brute men and strong women who know the stories written aren’t for them, but they change the plot anyway.

Characters.

I don’t believe stories exist in one voice.

I write diverse stories because my worlds are meant to feel lived-in, layered, and real. I’m drawn to characters from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, and I build my stories around the idea that power, desire, and love are shaped by where we come from.

We step outside and see different faces, and learn of new foods. Not everything is loved, but I believe everything must be experienced at least once. Being a woman of color, I hardly ever see women who look like me living in fantasy worlds and being the queen in their lands. What I grew up noticing is that we are either masculine or meant to be the voices needed when necessary. Not just for women like me, but other women of color who feel as though they have to live by a stereotype from birth just to be given a chance.

The women in my worlds…

In my worlds are not passive, and they are never ornamental.
They are:
  • Intelligent, not naïve.
  • Powerful, not loud.
  • Soft where it matters, sharp where it counts.

The men in my worlds…

are not heroes in the traditional sense.
They are:
  • Controlled, not gentle.
  • Loyal, not righteous.
  • Dangerous, not chaotic.

But when they love, it is:

  • Possessive, but not careless.
  • Devoted, but never soft.
  • Chosen, not begged for.

And then what happens when they meet:

Restraint before ruin.

Tension before touch.

Silence before confession.

“Fairytales lie. Love is not a reward — it is a consequence.”
